Rodale's We care how it's made. What is "Chambray" anyway? Chambray is often confused for demin. Though it may resemble the same shade of blue as your favorite jeans, it is made differently when colored yarn (often blue) is interwoven with a white yarn thread. Chambray tends to be lighter in weight and have a subtle, faded look. It is the perfect layering staple since it is softer and breathes to keep your body more comfortable as the temperature changes.
